1K Polyurethane Foam Gasket

The primary challenge for any sealing system is reliable protection against moisture, water, dust and dirt. Unlike two-component foam gaskets, our innovative closed-cell foam remains tight even if the foam surface is damaged.
The gasket is precisely applied to the component by physical foaming with dried air. Thermal curing at 80°C takes only 5–10 minutes, allowing reliable sealing performance within a very short time.
We use state-of-the-art 6-axis robots for contract foaming, pretreatment and component handling to ensure repeatable, high-quality production.

The Material

The foam is a solvent-free, heat-curing one-component polyurethane elastomer developed specifically for efficient and environmentally friendly application of foamed gaskets. It is particularly suitable for gaskets on plastic components, but can also be applied to materials such as wood, paper and metals. The material is mechanically foamed in a dispensing system, creating a closed-cell, soft-elastic foam gasket. Optimum crosslinking starts at 80°C and takes only a few minutes.
